Adolf Eichmann Adolf Eichmann was one of the most feared and hated Nazi leaders who was responsible for the deaths of millions of Jews during World War II. Eichmann was born on March 19, 1906 near the town of Cologan, Germany. Later in his life he moved to Austria (Hitler’s hometown) after his mom died during his childhood. As a little boy, Eichmann was made fun of a lot and also became known as “The Little Jew.” Eichmann never finished his schooling in the engineering field and had numerous jobs throughout his life. In 1932 Eichmann joined the Nazi Party and quickly ran through the ranks there. Later in 1934 he became part of the SS and also the SD, and he served in the SS as Corpal in Dachau Camp. In 1938 Eichmann became the Head of the Austrian office for Jewish immigration, and his orders were to murder all of the Jews in Europe. This order gave him the name as “The Master of Death.” Later in 1939 he was transferred as AMT to deal with Jewish affairs and evacuation. His goal here was for the implementation of the Final Solution. He was not allowed to emplace the Final Solution until he was given the go ahead. In 1941 he became the Head of Department for Jewish Affairs in the Gestapo. He stayed in this position until 1945. In this position he was the chief in operation in the killing of 3 million Jews. In 1944 Eichmann said that 4 million Jews had been killed by death camps and that 2 million Jews were killed by mobile extermination groups. Eichmann Stated that 5 million other innocent people were killed and claimed that at this point 11 million people had been killed.
After World War II ended the man hunt for Eichmann began. Eichmann lived secretly in Germany for five years. He then moved to Argentina and lived under an alias for ten years. In 1960 he was captured in Buenos Aires, Argentina and was taken to Israel for trial. Here he was put on trial for life and became known as one of the greatest Nazi war criminals ever and was tried against War house crimes. Eichmann was sentenced to death for these crimes on December 2, 1961. On May 31, 1962 his sentence was carried out in Israel for the first time ever. Before his death Eichmann replied, “I was just following orders.”
Adolf Eichmann was a very radical and nasty Nazi. Eichmann did not know right or wrong and he always followed what he was told to do. Then again, he didn’t care what was wrong or right because he was part of the Nazis and was just out to kill and torture as many people as he could. Eichmann was a terrible man, and its mean to say, but I believe that he got what he deserved. He was one of the top Nazi leaders in charge and was one of the main reasons of the Holocaust. I believe that Eichmann shouldn’t have done what he had done and that no one should treat other people the way that he did. In conclusion, I do not agree with the things that Adolf Eichmann did and that he should not be proud of the terrible things that he did.
